COMPREHENSIVE TINNITUS MANAGEMENT

Effective And Unique Tinnitus Management Solutions

Although there is currently no scientifically proven cure for most cases of chronic tinnitus, solutions do exist to help patients manage their condition; treatments that reduce the perceived intensity, omnipresence, and burden of tinnitus. At Audiologists Northwest, we’ll work with you to create an individualized treatment plan specifically tailored to your needs to address the attentional, emotional, and cognitive impact of tinnitus. Our treatment plans are designed to help patients live better, more fulfilling, and more productive lives, even if the perception of tinnitus remains.

SINGLE SIDED HEARING SOLUTIONS

Minimally Invasive Non-Surgical One Sided Hearing Options

Single Sided Deafness (SSD) involves significant damage to hearing in one ear. People with SSD have reduced speech intelligibility for several reasons: The inability to separate background noise from the signal of interest, the lack of binaural summation effect, and difficulties hearing the signal of interest coming from the side of the deaf ear. While there is no cure for SSD, there are several effective treatment options available to help those who suffer from it.

COCHLEAR IMPLANT ASSESSMENTS, ACTIVATIONS & MAPPING

Cochlear implants are surgically implanted medical devices that replace the function of the inner ear (cochlear) and are designed to mimic natural hearing.

Cochlear implants help adults with sloping moderate to profound hearing loss in both ears, or children 12 months or older with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears and are not receiving enough benefit when using hearing aids. For some people, using a hearing aid(s) with a severe to profound hearing loss can be like listening to a loud, badly tuned radio. You may hear parts of what is being said and it may be loud enough, but the words are not clear.

For many people, cochlear implants can:

  • Give you access to the sounds you're missing

  • Provide greater sound clarity

  • Improve hearing in noise

  • Help you understand speech

  • Increase hearing satisfaction and improve quality of life3

HEARING PROTECTION

As our ears are exposure to loud levels of sound for an extended period of time, the likelihood of hearing loss becomes a grim reality.

As our ears are exposure to loud levels of sound for an extended period of time, the likelihood of hearing loss becomes a grim reality. Hearing protective devices such as musician ear-plugs and standard ear-plugs lessen our exposure to these harmful sounds reducing the likelihood of permanent hearing loss.

Musician ear-plug benefits include:

  • Reduces sound levels evenly so that music and speech are clear and natural, not muffled as with typical earplugs found in stores.

  • Reduces risk of hearing damage for many noisy occupations and noisy venues including athletic events and motorsports

  • Enhances the music experience for audiences while protecting hearing

  • Lets musicians hear their own instrument and their blend with others

HEARING AID CONSULTATIONS & FITTINGS

Just like each person hears differently, hearing aids are adjusted differently for each individual.

Hearing protective devices such as musician ear-plugs and standard ear-plugs lessen our exposure to these harmful sounds reducing the likelihood of permanent hearing loss.

Hearing aid consultations & fittings may include:
